“Making Money Working At Home. Is It a Realistic Goal?”
According to research a very significant proportion of the world’s population hate their jobs and would love to find an alternative. Either a different job, or to be self-employed and in control of their own destinies. Now traditionally, being self-employed meant that the budding entrepreneur needed a significant level of capital to start a business. It also meant a high risk of failure. But the growth of the internet potentially created unprecedented income and business opportunities for small players. Suddenly it was possible, at least theoretically, to start making an independent income with almost no capital at all. And in fact, there are plenty of documented cases of individuals who have done just that.
However, it has always been the case that certain exceptional individuals have been able to achieve remarkable things, regardless of the medium in which they operate. But anyone who has done any investigation of the internet world at all will have discovered that there are countless claims of easy money being made with often minimal investment of money and time. And it is usually claimed that “anyone” can do it.
I am sorry to say that I don’t think that it’s quite that simple. It sounds altogether too much like the claims of easy riches at your nearest casino. In fact, so much of the internet hype that we see is based on the age-old appeal of fast easy money with no work. Whether its the lure of a gold rush, or the appeal of the flashy lights of Las Vegas, its just human nature to want great success and great wealth in life with minimal effort. Clever marketers have always exploited this human weakness.
In my experience there are some relatively simple ways to make some money working from home online. But don’t imagine that it doesn’t take some time and effort. The idea of getting something worthwhile for nothing is not a principle that generally applies in this life. I said generally. There are exceptions. You could inherit a fortune, or you could win the lottery. But none of these are outcomes that anyone can control.
If you want to make a serious amount of money working at home you will have to work at it. Seriously work at it. A simple way to make money online is to join a reputable paid survey site like SurveyScout and it won’t cost you anything more than the one-time membership fees. But you still must put in the time and effort to make it work for you. It’s a fundamental principle of life.
